the driveway will be the end of the road

Hi, long time, no blog, I guess.

I’ve been quite absent from the internet for a few days now, with brief stints on Tumblr and Twitter from my iPod touch. The reason for this is my very tempermental laptop, which is always breaking it seems. A few months before Christmas, it wasn’t connecting to the internet, so we had to reboot it, a few weeks after Christmas the charger needed replacing, and now it just keeps restarting itself.

I’ve rebooted the laptop 3 times now, but I’ve given up with it, and it’s going into the repair shop tomorrow, hopefully if my mum’ll remember to take it to my sisters. It’s making things awkward at the moment with all the coursework I have to do.

So I’m on my mums laptop right now, because I have to back up all my music. I’m using a program called MediaWidget to copy the songs from my iPod to the laptop. See, it would make things so much easier if I could do them more than 10 songs at a time, since I have 2180 songs on there. :|

I’ve had to find ways to entertain myself without my laptop, so in the past few days, I’ve been reading books, doing coursework, watching movies and playing endless Sonic The Hedgehog on my iPod (I still haven’t made it past level 2).

I also rearranged my posters. Cast your mind back to the blog I posted on February 10th (or just click this link) where I postyed a picture of my bedroom walls, look at how covered they are.

I decided that maybe, I’m growin up a little bit. I took down around 30 McFly posters, and now I have 8 up, a calendar, flag and my 4 tickets. I also have a wall completely covered in Jedward posters, an a4 poster of Thomas Lawe (Peter Beale from Eastenders), an a4 poster of Joe McElderry (BABE) and a full size poster of Zac Efron. Here are some pictures:

I also must say, I’m sorry for the misspelling of Navigation in the sidebar! Georgina pointed it out and I can’t change it since I’m on my mums laptop!

This laptop is really annoying, the keys are all so close together and spaced out wrong, I don’t like it. It also has windows 7 which I’m not used to, and no decent programs! Oh, and even better, the only browser it has is Internet Explorer, so downloading Google Chrome when I’ve finished transferring my music! But the good points are that it’s quick loading, it actually works and everything responds, unlike my pathetic excuse for a laptop. ¬_¬

Ahhh Dani, join the club. My laptop is dead too. It’s been gone since like halfway through Feb and is still not back which bums me out. Can’t change anything on my site! Grrr :(

The posters look cool though :) But it sucks that you took all them McFly posters down :(
Did you hear about Frankie and Dougie? They’ve split up :/ Apparently Dougie was seen out with Stacey Maclean :S Not sure if its true though…
    xx

The rebooting could be due to it being too hot. This could have also been the cause of or because of having to have the PSU replaced. (Maybe the one they replaced it with wasn’t the original model and this one runs hotter)

It’s been super ages since you commented so I hope you don’t mind starting over. :) It’s been so hectic for me with all the work I have had to do! :O

I’m sorry about your nasty laptop. How long have you had it for? I’ve had mine for a year but it hasn’t had any massive problems. :P Hopefully it’ll be able to be fixed! Especially with your coursework, sheesh, it must be difficult trying to keep up.

I’m sure your mum’s laptop is good though – it must be pretty new if it has Windows 7. Just looks like you’ll have to get used to it. It took me a while to get used to my laptop after using the desktop computer for so many years.

I use Firefox. :B But anything is better than Internet Explorer! <3

Your posters still look great! I think that if I started putting heaps of posters on my walls from a young age I'd have a lot of stuff there that needs to be replaced! :P I love your room though! :D
